Asian Cinema
Where stories blur the line between beauty and brutality

Asian cinema is home to many people's favourite films (including mine). This edition features some personal recommendations ranging from movies you've probably heard of to hidden gems that may completely surprise you.

Asian cinema differs from Western cinema in the way it approaches politics and social issues, telling stories that can be both absurd and haunting; while also making you question your own morals and perspectives.

Whether you are new to Asian cinema or already an avid movie lover, I invite you to take a look. You may discover something new... and if not, feel free to share your own recommendations with me.

What is this blog about ?

Every two months I put together a short list of the films, shows, and records that genuinely moved me — not necessarily the most acclaimed, just the ones I keep thinking about. TV media will be always tied to a topic unless stated otherwise. Songs and albums reflect what I have been listening to the most, which isn't necessarily new releases.

Select any title and my full review appears alongside it — with links to the relevant databases, trailers, and streaming info so you can dig deeper.

If there is a legal way to access any of the movies or shows, they will be linked. If one of the links is broken, please let me know!

Some of the luxembourgish libraries offer a dvd lending service. You can check out the available titles on a-z.lu

If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reach out!
